A Second Backroom Staff Member Joins 15 Year Veteran In Chelsea Exit

We already reported on goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon’s departure from Chelsea today, but it appears he won’t be the only one.

Strength and conditioning coach Adam Burrows will also leave Chelsea this summer, according to Training Ground Guru, who is on top of everything.

He joined the club in 2019 alongside Frank Lampard and has since worked with the first team.

That’s less of a significant move than the departure of 15-year club veteran Lollichon, but it’s still interesting to see that changes are being made behind the scenes.

For once we’re not changing managers and seeing the whole backroom revamped which is positive, and hopefully, this means that Thomas Tuchel will be able to bring in further coaches he knows he works well with.

There have long been whispers that Lollichon has strong connections to Roman Abramovich after such a long time at the club – his departure might confirm that, or be a pure coincidence.
