Policeman Who’s Dead Ringer For Man City Star Kevin De Bruyne

Stephen Adlam, who has striking resemblance to the midfielder, is looking forward to challenging the youth of Birmingham to a few kickarounds as he gets out into the community

A football star lookalike has joined West Midlands Police – and is looking forward to challenging people to a match.

Colleagues of new Birmingham cop Stephen Adlam think he’s a dead ringer for Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The latest recruit was in uniform with his Springfield WMP team in the southeast of the city for the first time last night, Birmingham Live reports.

His new team says the officer is looking forward to meeting the community and “playing a few games with the youth.”

Taking to Twitter, Springfield WMP posted a lookalike snap and wrote: “Meet our very own Kevin De Bruyne, (aka Stephen Adlam) in uniform today joining the @SpringfieldWMP team, say hello to him if you spot him on patrol.

The resemblance set Twitter followers abuzz, with one user replying: “Brilliant! Welcome Stephen .. for the record I support MUFC, but we won’t let that get in the way!”

Even a local football team chimed in to say: “Love this haha make sure you try and attend our sessions!”

Well if he’s quick in a foot race and calm under pressure he’s going to fit into your first team perfectly – Good luck Stephen!

The news comes after a Prince Harry doppelganger was being hunted by police after being suspected of driving a criminal gang who were targeting vulnerable residents on their doorstep in a cleaning scam.

CheshireLive reported the crooks would jet wash part of the occupants’ driveways before knocking on the door and pressuring them to pay the “extortionate” price for the rest.

There was no suggestion that the Duke of Sussex had any involvement in the dodgy scheme – only his dead-ringer – as Middlewich Police said one of them was described as ‘looking like Prince Harry in appearance’ and seen driving a white Toyota van.
