Liverpool Ready To Make Mohomed Salah Their Top Earner With A Massive £82million Offer To End The Contract Stalemate

The Egpytian international’s current Anfield deal expires in the summer of 2023, sparking rumours of an exit from the club

But owners FSG are now said to have realised that Salah’s is a special case and the Liverpool forward deserves a huge pay packet to reflect his outstanding performances for the Reds.

A Football Insider source said that club bosses want to end the contract uncertainty with an agreement before the January window opens.

They are said to be preparing a package worth £350,000-a-week plus bonuses, that would comfortably make Salah the highest paid player on the club’s books.

Salah reportedly wants a three-year extension, which would see him earn £82million over the whole contract.

FSG have already handed big-money deals to Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Andy Robertson.

Salah is said to want to end his career with the Reds, with the proposed extension taking him through to the age of 34.

Meanwhile, Liverpool star Fabinho says he “expected” international teammate Raphiha to join him at Anfield in the summer.

He said: “Raphinha, since he arrived in the Premier League, has been performing and standing out very well at Leeds.

“Even in the summer transfer market, there was some talk that he could go to Liverpool, I even expected that to happen, but he stayed at Leeds.

“Today he is the best player in Leeds. Whenever a team is going to play against them, they know that Raphinha is the player who can cause the most danger.

“After his first call-up, he started very well in both games, he made an impact against Venezuela, he played a part in the three goals. Against Colombia, he came in and played very well.

“The attributes he has are very unique. A left-handed player who can go either way. This is very important for our team. Against Colombia he made the best plays of our team and he can help us a lot.”
