Chelsea had a successful week in Europe this week getting ahead 2-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash with French side Lille.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are now in a pretty comfortable position to advance into the next round and keep the dream alive of defending their Champions League crown this season.

The second goal from Christian Pulisic came after a superb run with the ball from deep by N’Golo Kante, who was later named the man of the match.
Lille just could not deal with Kante in this game and in fact, their manager Jocelyn Gourvennec, admitted that their player actually tried to foul Kante in the build up to this goal but just could not catch him.
It’s a testament to just how good a player is when the opposition thinks the only way to stop them is fouling them. We saw it all the time with players like Eden Hazard, which says it all about Kante and just how unreal he is.
“He is an impressive player who gives others no time at all [on the ball],” Gourvennec said as reported by The Chelsea Chronicle.
“He can break quickly, our man tried to foul him and couldn’t that moment was the key to the game. Through his intensity he dictated the tempo for Chelsea.”
