Image for Fresh Raphinha claim made that will encourage Chelsea in pursuit of Leeds United transfer
It seems that Chelsea’s hopes of signing Raphinha from Leeds United this summer have been given a boost
That’s after journalist Gianluigi Longari reported that the winger has no issue with the terms that have been offered to him by the Stamford Bridge club
It has been some time since it was reported that Barcelona had agreed to personal terms with Raphinha over a move to Camp Nou.
However, it is Chelsea who is said to have had an offer of £55million accepted by Leeds for the Brazilian international, meaning they are the ones who are now able to try and agree to a contract with him.
But with Barcelona seemingly Raphinha’s preferred destination, recent claims had suggested that the 25-year-old would not hold any talks with Chelsea about a move to London.
Now, however, it appears that may not be the case, with this latest update from Longari noting that this will be a key week for Barcelona, as they run out of time to match Chelsea’s offer to Leeds.
The Tutto Mercato journalist also explained that what Chelsea has offered to the winger is higher than that of Barca’s, meaning there is no issue for Raphinha when it comes to agreeing to a deal with the Blues.
This does look as though it will be a big relief to those of a Chelsea persuasion.
Even though they have a deal agreed with Leeds, that is of course, not enough to get this done unless they can reach an agreement with Raphinha as well.
It now seems as though that is something that does look to be on the cards for the Stamford Bridge club, and that will be a major boost for them given the quality he will add to their side.
Indeed, with what Longari is saying here about this being a key period for Barcelona if they are to match Chelsea’s bid, you get the feeling this saga may finally be coming to an end.
