Chelsea Fans Rejected Leicester City’s Approach For Blues Attacker

Leicester City have made a move to try sign Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi – but some Blues fans have responded to insist he must not be sold.

According to Football London, Premier League rivals Leicester have approached Chelsea as they want to try sign the 20-year-old on a permanent basis.

It is understood he’s an option for them, along with RB Leipzig’s Ademola Lookman, because they want to sign a winger before the summer transfer window shuts today.

The report states that Borussia Dortmund have made an approach to try get Hudson-Odoi on loan, but his future will be decided on whether or not any new signings arrive at Stamford Bridge.

It’s unclear on how much he would cost. Also, whether or not the club would even consider a permanent offer.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media have made it clear they can’t get rid of Hudson-Odoi this summer, albeit some understand a loan could be the best move for his development.

He’s a skilful attacker by trade that has all the tools of a traditional wide player. Pace, skill and directness are his main assets that make him a rising talent.

The youngster has had to fill in at wing-back at times under current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, which must be frustrating for someone who loves to attack.

He’s part of the golden era to come out of the Blues academy, so losing him would be a massive shame. Many feel he’s got the individual ability to force his way into the best XI like Mason Mount and Reece James.

Hudson-Odoi was a part of the first-team squad last season by making 37 appearances across all competitions, but he’s in and out of the side under Tuchel.

It’s clear he’s not lost the faith of supporters, though.

Here are some Chelsea fans reacting to Leicester links with Hudson-Odoi:
