Chelsea misfit Christensen has options in the Premier League but favours Barca move if he leaves Stamford Bridge
Chelsea misfit Christensen is out of contract in the summer and the Spanish giants believe he has made his mind up to leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old’s representatives are in advanced talks with Barca, who are confident they have won the race to land him.
Christensen has also been approached by a trio of Premier League teams about joining them for next season.
But the Denmark international has his heart set on moving to Spain and his personal terms are believed to be a formality for the Catalan club.

Christensen, who joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Brondby in 2012, starred in last season’s Champions League final win over Manchester City.
But he has only started 11 league games this season and is currently out with Covid.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel actually dropped the centre back earlier this season because he wanted the player’s future resolved.
And Christensen was at one point close to agreeing a new four-year deal with Chelsea containing a one-year option.

But contract talks ground to a halt and Barcelona are confident he will not extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel said when initially dropping the Dane: “We have the hope that it influences the contract situation a little bit. My understanding was that it’s a matter of a very short period before we have good news.
“As I understood it the club wants the same, the player wants the same, the coach wants the same: to stay.
“That’s why we need the commitment and then we can continue.”
